Academic Classes

Academic Classes are offered to students in 8th-12th grade and meet weekly at Dikaios. Class Fees will be paid directly to teachers.

Art History - American

This course is designed to cover American art history from the birth of the United States through the Civil War. We will be exploring Native American art, mixed mediums of folk art, American architecture, and different schools of art through discussion and projects that will lead to a deeper level of understanding and appreciation of the artistic technique itself, historical context, and Biblical themes.

Students 8th-12th Grade - $300 per semester

Josie Johnson has been an educator in public and private school settings for 30 years. Her gifting of motivating people coupled with her love for English, art, music, and drama has led her obtain two M.Eds, two California state teaching credentials, and to become a reading specialist. She truly enjoys worshiping and serving the Lord, spending time with family, friends, and pets, and creating especially through music, writing, and cooking.

Biology with Lab

Using Apologia's Biology textbook and the Bible we will explore the intelligent design of  Life. Awaking wonder from Atoms to People and all living organisms in between. Includes Lab and materials. 

Students 9th-12th grade - $250 per semester

Christine Fulmer, has been in education for over 20 years. Her love and passion for God's creation has been expressed through her teaching for the past two decades. She has taught hundreds of students in outdoor education, classroom settings and continuing her home school journey of her 6 children.

English - American Lit

This course is designed to cover American literature from the birth of the United States through the Civil War. We will be reading both fiction and non-fiction texts which students will explore through close reading and discussion to lead to a deeper level of comprehension and understanding of the writer’s purpose, historical context, literary analysis, and Biblical themes.

English Fundamentals

This course is designed to cover the
fundamentals of literature including the elements of story telling, writing modes, poetry, and literary analysis. We will be reading both fiction and non-fiction texts which students will explore through close reading and discussion to lead to a deeper level of comprehension and understanding of the writer’s purpose and Biblical themes, conflict, character, theme, mood, tone, structure. 8th-11th Grade - $300 per semester

History - American

This course provides an overview of the history of the United States from the early indigenous peoples and European colonization to the present day. Students will explore major events, movements, and figures that have shaped the nation's political, economic, social, and spiritual landscape.

Enrichment Program

Co-op

Our enrichment co-op offers parent led, hands on classes from nursery to high school, meeting bi-monthly.

 

These classes provide opportunities for creative learning with their peers. Class sizes are approximately 15 students, giving the perfect learning environment for creative art, experimental science, cooking confidence and so much more.

Speech and Debate

Classes focus on Apologetics, Speech, and Debate. Class meets on Thursday afternoons. No prior experience necessary, students will be trained in class.

Mom's Events

Monthly Mentorship Gatherings with veteran moms, Mom‘s Night Out, and special events.
