What are Park Days?
Park Days are monthly themed gatherings designed to encourage homeschool families through faith, friendship, and hands-on learning. These low-pressure community meetups offer families a chance to connect, explore, and learn together through story time, nature activities, crafts, and sometimes messy experiments. Come join us for a morning of learning, friendship, and fun at the park.

How to sign up:
The best way is to RSVP is at the bottom of this page or through GroupMe. Please note that GroupMe is the way we communicate a Park Day change due to weather or unexpected events.
Sample Park Day: Volcano Science
Take a peek at an actual themed lesson plan from one of our Dikaios Park Days. While our lessons vary depending on the monthly theme, they often will incorporate story time, craft/art, a science experiment or educational activity, and a movement game.
11:00–11:30 AM – Arrival, Play & Meet-Up
Families arrive, connect, and enjoy free play while everyone gathers.
11:30 AM – Story Time & Discussion
Gopher to the Rescue! A Volcano Recovery Story
Children enjoy a themed read-aloud followed by a simple discussion about volcanoes, eruptions, and how God’s world is powerful and fascinating.
11:45 AM – Art Activity: Fizzy Volcano Painting
Create and paint volcanoes using baking soda and watercolor, then watch them fizz and bubble with a fun chemical reaction.
12:00 PM – Science Experiment: Volcano Eruption
Kids build and erupt their own volcanoes using baking soda and vinegar while learning about pressure and eruptions.
12:15 PM – Game & Movement: The Floor Is Lava
Kids get in some physical activity with a themed playground game.
12:30 PM – Lunch, Community & Play
Families enjoy lunch together while kids play and parents connect.
1:00 PM – Head Home or Stay & Play
Official park day ends, but families are welcome to stay longer and enjoy continued fellowship.

Park Days 2026 - 2027
Park Days are free for current members only. Membership is an annual per family fee. Park Day themes, activities, dates, and locations may occasionally change, be postponed, or be canceled due to weather or unforeseen circumstances. For the most up-to-date information and important announcements, we encourage all families to join our GroupMe community.
